CBMS Conference 2026 - Limassol, Cyprus
We are proud to announce that two papers from our project have been accepted for presentation at the 39th IEEE International Symposium on Computer-Based Medical Systems (CBMS 2026), one of the leading international conferences dedicated to medical informatics, intelligent healthcare technologies, and computer-assisted clinical systems. The conference brings together researchers and professionals working at the intersection of medicine, artificial intelligence, robotics, and biomedical engineering.
The first accepted contribution, Motion Compensation for Ultrasound Scanning in Robotically Assisted Prostate Biopsy Procedures, has been selected as a Short Paper for presentation in Track 3: Intelligent Medical Devices, Robotics, and Immersive Technologies. The paper presents our work on compensating patient or organ motion during robotic ultrasound scanning, helping maintain imaging accuracy and supporting more precise biopsy targeting in robot-assisted interventions.
Our second accepted contribution, Reducing Peripheral False Positives in Prostate Micro-Ultrasound Segmentation Using Slice-Level Gating, has been accepted as a Poster presentation. This research focuses on improving the reliability of AI-based prostate segmentation by reducing false positive detections at the image periphery, an important step toward more robust real-time ultrasound analysis and clinical decision support.
Having two accepted papers at IEEE CBMS 2026 is an important recognition of our ongoing research in medical robotics and intelligent imaging systems. It also highlights the multidisciplinary nature of the project, combining robotics, ultrasound imaging, machine learning, and clinical innovation to advance the future of prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment.
